Isabel's 6th Birthday!

I can't believe my sweet girl is 6!  We celebrated her birthday with M&M pancakes, opened a few family presents and then went to dinner that evening to celebrate her Aunt Kate's birthday!

She was thrilled to get American Girl doll "Kirsten" for her birthday.  She really wanted an AG doll that had blonde hair and blue eyes like her.

Important Birthday phone calls! ;)

And the following pictures are from her birthday party at the park.

(Above:  Kids playing in the grassy area.  Rob had set up a badminton net and we brought two giant beach balls for the kids to kick around.  They had so much fun they hardly spent any time on the actual playground!)

(Below:  Rob brought model rockets to launch and took nearly all of the 27 kids over to a field to launch them.  This was a huge hit!)

Some beautiful birthday flowers Isabel received from kids at the party.

One of the two giant beach balls we used at the party.

So much fun at the party, there wasn't time to open presents, so we brought them all home.  She was patiently eyeing them.

Happy Easter!

Easter 2012!  Ian is 1 and Isabel is nearly 6.  The Easter bunny brought Ian a blow-up bunny, which he just finds to be sooooooo funny!  Isabel got an Easter painting pad, candy, a little make-it-yourself necklace and a jeweled bird (which she just adored).  Not many pics..I think they had us up at 6:30am for all of this.

Ian's First Birthday

Ian turned one last Thursday, April 5th!  It's hard to believe...time really flies when you have as much fun as we do!  ;)  Ian took his first steps the day before his birthday...4 steps, to be exact.  And he's been trying a little bit each day since.  He has also started saying "uh oh".  He will say "mama" but I still don't think he's saying it to me at this point, although he knows that I AM "mama"....confused?  Anyway, here are some pictures from his actual birthday.  Isabel helped me make  mini cupcakes and I turned one into a mini cake for him.  It was an orange cake with store bought buttercream icing. We had a family party on Easter, and pictures will soon follow for that as well!
