"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
We joined some of the homeschooling families on a family camping trip this weekend. Rob stayed overnight with Ian and Isabel Friday and Saturday nights and I came up with Caroline to the campsite for the day Saturday.
The kids had so much fun, and both nights they had Holy Mass right there at the campsite and prayed the rosary with everyone. There was boating and canoeing and tubing and fishing and lots of smores.
Here are some pics from our fun time this weekend.
Some new videos of Caroline. Caroline is a week shy of 15 months and she will walk some places and crawl others. She can actually walk a little bit better than the video shows...she is a bit more steady now. She loves to practice walking, especially from a position where she is seated higher than the floor (like sitting in a chair or your lap and then stands up to walk).
She can say: baby, hot, uh-oh, Hi Daddy! and will sniff at flowers
She LOVES the chickens. When we go outside to let the animals out in the morning, she gets sooooo smiley over the chickens and loves to talk to them. She loves to dance whenever ANY music comes, she always starts moving. She loves water...it is hard to keep her out of the bathtub, a water puddle, a baby pool or the shower. She loves to climb.
She HATES to come back inside after playing outside. She will squirm and struggle in your arms and then cry once you get to the door and open it. She hates not being held when it is time for me to make dinner. She hates it if you show her some stairs and don't let her climb them.
She naps in the middle of the day for 2 hours. And goes to bed at about 6:30 every evening. She sleeps through the night (thank you, God! It had to happen some time, right?)
She is just a doll and loves to be coy and show off for our grandfatherly next door neighbor. She will smile and wave at him and he just eats it up!
Isabel celebrated her 8th birthday with family at our home. She requested a grill-out and I made her a special cake.
Surprise! It's a rainbow cake!
New doll from Uncle Matt and Aimee.
Pic with Uncle Mike.
Ian enjoying the cake.
Isabel made her First Holy Communion May 3rd. It was Monsignor's last Holy Communion class at our church before he retires. It was so special. She was so excited to receive Jesus; body, blood, soul and divinity. It was just beautiful.
Grammy, Grandma Holmes, Aunt Kate and Uncle Paul were in attendance.
