Our focus this week was the Letter P! peanuts, pickles, pears, pumpkin pie, pizza, petunia, prayer, porcupine, pine cone, parrot
Here is Iz helping to make purple and pink playdough from scratch!
Playing with her playdough! This was hours of entertainment...for some reason way more exciting than store-bought playdough!
Making a pizza from scratch! Note her blue lips from her blow-pop!
Popping packing bubbles!
Fingerpaint!
Practicing writing her numbers!
We came up with quite a few P words for our chalkboard. She participated in some pouring activities which turned into a lesson on coloring mixing. We studied St. Paul from our book of saints. She painted a "P is for prayer" coloring page. She completed a P is for penguin puzzle.
We also reviewed the number 3. Each week with the numbers, she cuts out 10 or more of the number we are working on from newspapers, ads or magazine pages. We then paste them onto a page and the extras go into an envelope for a number sorting game we will do once she gets an assortment of more numbers.
Finally we did the third lesson from "Who Am I?" which was entitled "I am special to God who made me" and read some relevant bible stories and did some crafts.
